Smudging is a traditional cleansing ritual that has been used by Indigenous people around the world for centuries. The process involves burning of sacred herbs and medicines to produce a cleansing smoke. Smudge bowls are used to catch the ash produced throughout the ritual, and to save the burned medicine (like Sage, Cedar, or Palo Santo) to be used the following session.
